چکیده

Based on the Propagation-Inside-Layer Expansion (PILE) and Forward-Backward method (FBM), the composite scattering from the target below a dielectric rough soil surface using the extended PILE (EPILE) combined with the Forward-Backward method (FBM) is studied. The accuracy and efficiency of the EPILE + FBM for this specific type of composite scattering is researched by comparing with the method of moments (MOM), the influences of the target size, target depth, target horizontal distance, the rms height, the correlation length, the incident angle and the soil moisture content, etc., to the bistatic scattering coefficient (BSC) are also investigated.

Electromagnetic Scattering from a Circular Target above or below Rough Surface

The electromagnetic scattering from a perfectly electric conducting (PEC) target located above or below rough surface is investigated, for the case of TM polarization, using the Method of Moments (MoM). The rough surface with Gaussian profile is used to emulate the realistic situation of a statistically-rough surface, while the tapered incident wave is chosen to reduce the truncation error. The...

A Hybrid Method of Scattering from a Dielectric Target above a Rough Surface: Te Case

A hybrid method, combining analytic Kirchhoff approximation (KA) and numerical method of moments (MoMs), is developed to solve the two-dimensional (2D) scattering problem of a dielectric target with arbitrary cross section above a moderate perfect electric conductor (PEC) rough surface under TE-polarized tapered wave incidence. The induced current on the rough surface is analytically expressed ...

Transient Scattering from Arbitrarily Shaped Two-dimensional Objects Located on a Rough Surface

An electric field time-domain integral equation (TDIE) for arbitrarily two-dimensional bodies located on a time-evolving rough surface is presented. The explicit solution technique of the TDIE is considered, and the time responses of the current distributions and the far-zone field are investigated in detail, meanwhile, the method of moment associated with the inverse discrete Fourier transform...

The E-pile+smcg for Scattering from an Object below 2d Soil Rough Surface

A rigorous fast numerical method called E-PILE+SMCG is introduced and then used in a Monte Carlo study of scattering from a three dimensional perfectly electrical conductor (PEC) object below lossy soil rough surface. This method is the three dimensional (3D) extendability of PILE (Propagation-Inside-Layer Expansion) method which is proposed for two dimensional (2D) scattering problem. The roug...

Composite Scattering from Electric-Large Target over Randomly Rough Surface Using Fast Computation of BART

Calculation of radar cross section (RCS) and scattering analysis for electric-large targets located in natural environment have been under study for many years. Complexities due to large target size and multi-interactions between isolated target and surrounding random media, e.g. rough surface, make model simulation much more difficult. Instead of purely numerical computation, high frequency ap...
